Booking My Surf Giveaway – Official Terms & Conditions

2. Eligibility

  • Entry is open to individuals who are 21 years of age or older at the time of entry.

  • Open internationally, entrants must comply with any laws in their country.

  • Employees, agents, contractors of the Promoter (and their immediate family members) and anyone connected with the design, promotion or administration of this giveaway are not eligible.

  • Participants must have access to Instagram and accept these Terms & Conditions.

3. Entry Period

  • The giveaway opens at 3:00 PM AEST, 12/09/2025) and closes at 10:00 AM Queensland time (AEST) on 10/11/2025.

  • Entries submitted before or after this period will be invalid.

4. How to Enter

To enter, participants must during the Entry Period:

  1. Follow @bookingmysurf on Instagram;

  2. Like the giveaway post specified by the Promoter;

  3. Tag one or more friends who “love the ocean” in the comments of the giveaway post; each tagged friend = one additional entry.

  • Only one (1) entry per tag; multiple tags count as multiple entries only if they truly refer to distinct friends.

  • Use of bots, fake accounts, or automated services to tag/follow/like will result in disqualification.

  • Entries must be genuine; misleading, defamatory or otherwise inappropriate content will be disqualified.

5. Prize Details

  • 1 × AU$500 coupon

  • 10 × AU$100 coupons

  • 10 × AU$50 coupons

Coupons can be used toward surf-friendly stays, surf lessons, or trip services booked through Booking My Surf after launch (in or after November 2025).

6. Prize Conditions & Redemption

  • Coupons are valid for 6 months from the date of issue to make a booking and must be used for travel within 12 months of the booking date.

  • Coupons are single-use only, cannot be transferred, resold, or exchanged for cash, and any unused portion is forfeited.

  • A minimum booking value of AUD $300 (before discount) applies to redeem any coupon.

  • Only bookings made via the official Booking My Surf platform after its official launch are eligible.

7. Winner Selection, Notification & Unclaimed Prizes

  • Winners will be selected at random from all valid entries, within 6 hours after the close of the Entry Period (4:00 PM Queensland time on 10/11/2025).

  • Winners will be notified via Direct Message on Instagram.

  • If a winner does not respond within 5 business days of notification, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected using the same selection process.

  • Winners’ names or usernames may be announced publicly (via Booking My Surf’s Instagram/Facebook) after confirmation.

8. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimers

  • The Promoter is not responsible for any damage, loss, injury, or other adverse consequences arising from participation in this giveaway or from use of any prize.

  • The Promoter is not liable for lost, delayed, corrupted, or misdirected entries or communications, or for any technical failures or issues with social media platforms.

  • Any taxes, duties, or other costs associated with claiming or using the prize are the responsibility of the winner.

9. General Conditions

  • The Promoter reserves the right to verify eligibility and to disqualify any entry which, in its opinion, does not comply with these Terms & Conditions.

  • The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, suspend or modify the giveaway if any fraud, technical failure or other factor beyond its reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the giveaway.

  • No transferability of prizes. The prize must be accepted as awarded; no cash alternative except where required by law.

10. Privacy & Use of Personal Information

  • Participants may be required to provide certain personal information (e.g., name, social media handle, email). That information will be collected and used by the Promoter for the purpose of administering this giveaway and contacting winners.

  • Entry indicates consent to use the winner's name, Instagram/Facebook handle, and/or photo for promotional, marketing, and publicity purposes without additional compensation.

  • Personal data will be handled in accordance with Booking My Surf’s Privacy Policy.

11. Social Media & Platform Disclaimers

  • This giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram or Facebook.

  • Participants release Instagram and Facebook from any and all liability in relation to this promotion.

  • The Promoter must comply with Instagram’s and Facebook’s (as applicable) promotion and contest policies.

12. Compliance with Laws & Permits

  • The giveaway is subject to all applicable state, territory, federal and international laws and regulations.

  • If required by law, the Promoter will obtain any required permits or approvals before the giveaway begins.

  • Where laws require it, the Promoter will publish the winners’ names and prize values in the relevant jurisdictions.

13. Acceptance of Terms

  • Entry into the giveaway constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

  • By entering, participants agree to be bound by these terms.

14. Miscellaneous

  • If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed, and the remainder of the Terms & Conditions will continue in full force.

  • The Promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the giveaway will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
